Travel Advisory: Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirement for Entry into Ecuador

At Anakonda Amazon Cruises, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. In light of recent health updates, we would like to inform you of an important travel requirement that may affect your upcoming journey to the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Beginning May 12, 2025, all travelers entering Ecuador from Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, or Brazil must present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.

Who Needs the Vaccine?

• Travelers of any nationality, including Ecuadorian citizens, who have spent more than 10 days in any of the listed countries before arriving in Ecuador.

What You Need to Know

• The vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before entering Ecuador.
• Certificates issued in previous years remain valid, as a single dose is considered effective for life by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Public Health.
• Travelers over the age of 60 are generally exempt from this requirement, unless otherwise advised by their health provider.

When and Where You’ll Need Your Certificate

• During check-in or boarding for flights, buses, or vessels traveling to Ecuador
  
• Upon arrival at Ecuadorian ports of entry

• Making an appointment for vaccination, if needed.
  
• Traveling with your certificate in hand to avoid delays.

The Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador confirms that there are no health travel alerts in effect for any region of the country. Ecuador —with its four diverse regions: Coast, Andes, Amazon, and Galápagos— remains fully open to domestic and international tourism, without restrictions.
